Rounding out the top three was comedy actor Adam Sandler with $40 million. In 2011, he was in Just Go with It.
4)Will Smith
Will Smith was in fourth place. His fortune increased by $36 million so far this year. It is rumored that a significant portion of Smith's earnings was an advance for his work on the third installment of Men in Black.
5)Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks was in 5th place, who is $35 million further ahead despite the lukewarm reception of his film Larry Crowne.
6)Ben Stiller
Ben Stiller – another comedy actor – was in sixth place with $34 million.
7)Robert Downey, Jr.
Seventh place went to Robert Downey, Jr., who earned $31 million.
8)Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg's bank account grew by $28 million, good enough for eighth place.
